101419_Edgewood002_cs.JPGEven though the artist had dementia and resided in a memory care center, she could paint and enjoyed the opportunity to express herself through a lifelong hobby of painting. She was not alone and others from the same residence often participated in a craft they did in the past or one newly learned. Some had won prizes at the Nebraska State Fair and others just participated for the enjoyment it brought to them and for the reminder of days past and crafts once enjoyed regularly.

All the artists enjoyed taking their finished works on the road and had formed a “Traveling Dementia Art Therapy Show”. Their full story can be read at:
