The Girls Scouts of Emory Valley Service Unit have brought their enthusiasm and care for the community to the residents of Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Powell Tennessee. Following a planned program they are free to visit with residents, tell stories, and listen to the wisdom often shared with them. The residents love to hear about the girls’ activities and appreciate the effort involved in regularly setting aside time for them. One resident makes it a point to tell the girls to make sure they get an education – perhaps thinking back to decades long ago when such advice was less often given to young girls.
